David Betancourt is a Business Representative at the University of La Verne’s Small Business Development Center where he is responsible for supporting the center with marketing activities, market research, workshop logistics, and client intake services.
Before joining the team, Mr. Betancourt graduated from Bishop Am High School and previously worked in retail. He is currently an undergraduate student at the University of La Verne pursuing his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
As an undergraduate, Mr. Betancourt was also an active member of the football team, Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity, First Generation Success Program, and the Multicultural Club. Mr. Betancourt was the recipient of the Scholar Athlete award for his high GPA and involvement in the community.
Mr. Betancourt is a volunteer at Roynon Elementary School where he practices his passion for fitness by managing physical activities with young students. After graduation in the Spring 2015, Mr. Betancourt plans to attend Graduate School and pursue a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and continue to further his education.
