The University of La Verne Small Business Development Center (SBDC) stimulates economic growth in the East San Gabriel Valley by providing small businesses and entrepreneurs with no cost consulting, low-cost training and access to resources. The University of La Verne SBDC is part of the Los Angeles Regional Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network and is funded in part by the Small Business Administration (SBA).
The University of La Verne SBDC provides existing and startup businesses with assistance designed to improve their competitive standing in the marketplace. About the Los Angeles Regional SBDC Network
Hosted by leading universities, colleges, and state economic development agencies and funded in part through a partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration, SBDCs provide no-cost consulting and low-cost training to more than 1.3 million business owners annually through almost 1,000 SBDC service centers nationwide. The LA Regional SBDC Network Lead Center hosted by Long Beach Community College District (LBCCD) is one of 63 SBDC lead centers nationwide; five other SBDC networks exist in California, which attests to the state’s business vibrancy. LBCCD operates the sixth largest federally-funded and the largest regionally-funded SBDC in the nation. As a result, business owners in the counties of Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Ventura have access to a professional business consultants that can assist them with their operations and management, marketing, financing, business planning and more.
